In "Goldfinger", we are presented with a woman who is very clear about what she doesn't want, but the story doesn’t care. It tells us she’s wrong. What she’s saying is irrelevant. And the man knows better. This is a scary lesson, for men and women.

So I painted that dichotomy, collaging those two moments together to try and show how dismissive and demeaning this meme of the forced and then, oh so appreciative at having been forced, kiss is. This painting challenges the lesson of this movie that what a woman wants most is for a man to ignore her words, that he has no reason to listen to what she says because she has no idea how great the stuff is he has in mind for her.
